The Joy of FALL

September 16-18 I had the wonderful opportunity to be with the Greenwich Presbyterian ladies for a weekend retreat where I was the speaker.

What an amazing group of ladies. They poured out their hearts and learned how to let go of the negative things and "Embrace Joy."

We spent Friday night learning how to let go of the negative things people say or thoughts we have and write them on paper. I gave them the opportunity to throw the papers at me at the end and they did!

On Saturday, they were ready to receive practical ways to "Embrace Joy." We learned different journaling styles and then went out looking for joy during our afternoon break.

Everyone sent pictures from their afternoon and we shared what brought them joy.

Saturday night, I shared about my story of loss with our son. I shared how in Nehemiah he led the people to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. We can take action to rebuild our lives after loss of family, jobs, or even expectations.
