Finding little moments of joy each day is what makes life worth living. #JoyBoxJournal

Picking peaches.

In late July I went peach picking for the first time.
The peaches were beautiful and delicious.

Best M&M’s ever.

400 million M&M’s are produced each day all over the world. They come in different colors, shapes, and flavors. The button-shaped chocolates have the letter “m” printed in lower case in white on one side. The candy originated in the United States in 1941 and were created to allow soldiers in the war to carry chocolate in warm clients without melting. Their brand's tagline of “Melts in your mouth, not in your hand” was introduced in 1949.

When I was a toddler, every Sunday we would go to church and my great aunt would bring me a packet of plain M&M’s. I guess that is why I like chocolate so much.

Underneath the hard shell of the plain M&M you will find milk chocolate, which I refer to as little nuggets of joy.

The Bible doesn’t talk about M&M’s there are words that describe the Lord with some powerful words that begin with the letter, “M.”

The first example is the word majesty. It is found in Psalm 93:1 which says, “The Lord reigns, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure.”

Majesty means impressive stateliness, dignity, or beauty. The synonyms for majesty are sovereignty, greatness, highness, supremacy, nobility, grandiosity, loftiness, prince, divine-right, lord and king.

Read and write Psalm 93:1 and replace the word majesty with some of the synonyms.

The next word is mighty. Psalm 93:4 says, “Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea— the Lord on high is mighty.”

Mighty means possessing great and impressive power or strength. Some of the synonyms for mighty are omnipotent, strong, and sturdy.

Read and write Psalm 93:4 and replace the word mighty with the synonyms.

God is like the hard-shell found on an M&M. God is our physical and mental protector. With God’s majesty and might on our side, we can endure anything that comes our way.

What is your favorite M&M flavor?
